The Nation Ford High School Band has a tradition of excellence that reaches back to when the school opened its doors in the fall of 2007.   Its impressive achievements include:

• Achieving the South Carolina Band Directors Association’s “Outstanding Performance Award” every year since its inception, and has earned the National Band Association’s “Citation of Excellence” and “Certificate of Merit” for outstanding contributions to the concert band and marching band activities. 

• Earning Superior ratings at the SCBDA Concert Performance Assessment (CPA) every year of its existence, performing at the South Carolina State Concert Festival in 2017 and 2019. 

• Winning 9 South Carolina State Championship titles.

• Representing the Carolinas at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City in both 2011 & 2017. 

 

The band is a 2-time Bands of America Regional Champion, as well as a semi-finalist band at the Bands of America Grand National Championships in Indianapolis, IN.
